The Mid-Essex Branch of the World Ship Society welcomes you to browse around our site where you will find information about the branch, where and when it meets, a Diary of the forthcoming programme, reports of past meetings and other items of local
and international interest.
Also featured are diaries of two sailors and their ships, one from the 19th Century, the other from the early 20th Century and also a brief history of the London County Council paddle ferry fleet of 1905
 

February Meeting
Monday February 6th at 8.00 p.m.
Digital Photo Competition
Branch members select 6 digital images
from photos taken in 2011 and submit them to the judging panel for the
"Colin Viney Trophy"
 
A few rules:
Photos must have been taken in 2011. 
Minor Photoshop allowable - straightening horizons, removal of gulls etc.,
but insertion of a blue sky on a grey day may be frowned on!
Please bring with you or send the secretary six of your very best pictures
for judging on the night.
To be on a CD/DVD, USB memory stick or XD or SD memory card or by email please.
